What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are
AIInsider publishes aiinsider.dpdns.org — AI news, tools coverage, tutorials and reviews. The site is operated byRioCloud Solutions, based in Chandigarh, India, which is the data controller for any personal data described below.
For any privacy question or data request, emailinfo@riocloudsolutions.com or call +91 75085 83782. Full contact routes are on the contact page.
How the site is hosted
AIInsider is a static site. Pages are pre-built and served as files from a content delivery network. There is no reader account system, no login, no comment database holding your identity, and no server-side profile of you. The practical consequence is that there is very little for us to collect in the first place.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Email address — only if you subscribe to the AIInsider Briefing. It is used to send that newsletter and nothing else. We do not add subscribers to any other list, and we do not share the list with tool vendors or advertisers.
- Correspondence — if you email the desk, we keep your message and address so we can reply, track a correction, or process a directory submission.
- Directory and prompt submissions — the product details and contact details you send us when proposing a listing for thetool directory, the agent directory or the prompt library.
Information collected automatically
- Server and CDN logs — our hosting provider records IP addresses, user agents, timestamps and requested URLs to serve the page, mitigate abuse and absorb denial-of-service traffic. We do not use these logs to identify individual readers.
- Theme preference — stored in your browser's local storage, never transmitted to us. Details in the cookie policy.
Analytics
This codebase supports three optional analytics providers. Each isoff unless an ID is configured, and when it is off, no script is injected and the provider's servers are never contacted from your browser.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate page views, referrers, approximate country and device class. Optional. Currently enabled.
- Microsoft Clarity — aggregate interaction and scroll data used to find broken layouts and unreadable pages. Optional. Currently disabled.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-preserving, cookieless page-view counting. Optional. Currently disabled.
At least one analytics provider is currently active on this deployment. It is used solely to understand which articles are useful and which pages are broken. We use analytics only to understand which articles are worth writing more of. We do not sell personal data, we do not run behavioral advertising, and we do not build cross-site profiles of readers.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
- Consent — newsletter subscription, and any non-essential analytics or measurement cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — security logging, abuse and bot mitigation, and aggregate measurement of site performance. We balance this against your rights and keep the data minimal.
- Contract — responding to a request you sent us, such as a directory submission or a partnership enquiry.
Third-party processors
We keep the list short deliberately. The services that may process data on our behalf are:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosting and content delivery. Processes request metadata including IP address.
- Google Analytics 4 / Microsoft Clarity / Cloudflare Web Analytics — only where configured, as described above.
- Newsletter delivery provider — stores your email address and delivery events if you subscribe.
- Web font delivery — font files are requested from Google Fonts, which necessarily receives the request IP as part of serving the file.
Some of these providers operate in the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK or EEA, transfers rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism.
Cookies
We set no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. The only thing stored by default is your light/dark theme preference, in local storage. A full breakdown, including the cookies our CDN sets for bot mitigation, is in thecookie policy.
Data retention
- Newsletter address — until you unsubscribe, then deleted from the active list.
- Correspondence — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Directory submissions — kept while the listing is live, and for 12 months after it is removed.
- Server and CDN logs — retained per the provider's default window, typically days rather than months.
- Analytics — aggregate only, retained per the provider's configured retention period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and comparable regimes you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any issue.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises a privacy right.
To exercise any of these, emailinfo@riocloudsolutions.com with the subject line beginning PRIVACY, or use thecontact page. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, a content security policy and modern security headers. Because pages are static and there is no reader database, the attack surface holding personal data is small. No system is perfectly secure; report a concern via thecontact page.
Children's privacy
AIInsider is written for developers and technical professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or which processors we use, we update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be flagged in the newsletter.
