Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, and why.

The short version
AIInsider sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. The site is statically hosted and has no reader accounts, so there is no session cookie either. The only thing stored by default is your light/dark theme preference, and it never leaves your browser.
An analytics provider is currently enabled on this deployment, so measurement storage described below may also be present.
Cookie categories
Everything this site could store falls into one of four categories. Two of them are permanently empty.
| Category | Used here? | What it covers | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Yes | Bot mitigation and rate limiting set by our CDN so pages can be served safely | Not required |
| Preferences | Yes | Your theme choice, stored locally so the site does not flash the wrong mode on the next visit | Set only when you choose a theme |
| Analytics | Yes — see below | Aggregate page views and interaction data, only if a provider ID is configured | Optional |
| Advertising / tracking | No | Ad targeting, retargeting pixels, cross-site profiling — none of this is used | Never set |
What is stored, item by item
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | Local storage (first party) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Never sent to a server. | Until you clear it |
__cf_bm / _cfuvid | Cookie (Cloudflare) | Bot management and rate limiting by our hosting provider | Session / 30 minutes |
_ga / _ga_ZD3JQTV84J | Cookie (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguishes visits for aggregate reporting. Only set if a GA4 measurement ID is configured — currently enabled.IP anonymisation is on and Google Signals is not enabled, so no cross-device advertising profile is built from your visit. | Up to 2 years |
_clck / _clsk | Cookie (Microsoft Clarity) | Aggregate interaction and scroll measurement used to find broken pages. Only set if a Clarity project ID is configured — currently disabled. | Up to 1 year / 1 day |
| None | Cloudflare Web Analytics | Cookieless page-view counting. Sets no cookie and no local storage. Only loaded if a beacon token is configured — currently disabled. | Not applicable |
Optional analytics, in plain terms
Analytics on this site is optional infrastructure. When no provider ID is set in the site configuration, no analytics script is injected into the page and your browser never contacts the provider. When one is set, it is used only to see which articles are read and which pages are broken — never for advertising, never shared with ad networks, and never used to identify you personally. Whatever is active is named in theprivacy policy.
Third-party requests
Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts. This sets no cookie, but the request necessarily discloses your IP address to that service as a technical consequence of delivering the font file. Embedded content, where an article includes it, may set cookies under the embedding provider's own policy.
How to control this
- Block or delete cookies — every major browser supports this under Privacy or Site Settings, per site or globally.
- Clear local storage — this resets your theme preference, after which the site follows your operating system setting again.
- Opt out of GA4 specifically — Google publishes a browser add-on that blocks its analytics scripts everywhere, if that provider is ever enabled here.
- Use a content blocker — a standard tracker blocker removes the optional analytics requests entirely.
Nothing on this site breaks if you block all storage. Articles, thetool directory, search and theRSS feed all work without it. The only visible difference is that your theme choice will not persist between visits.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not perform cross-site tracking, so a DNT or GPC signal changes nothing about how we treat you. There is no profile to opt out of.
